Plein Air Landscape Painting Workshop with Ingrid Berry Saturday 16th May | 9:00am - 4:00pm

£65.00

Spend a creative day painting outdoors in the beautiful parkland at The Yard guided by professional and local oil painter Ingrid Berry.

This one-day plein air workshop is perfect for painters with some experience who want to strengthen their landscape skills, gain confidence working on location, and enjoy the inspiration of painting directly from nature. Drawing on her classical training and extensive plein air practice, Ingrid will guide you through composition, colour, value, and brushwork in a supportive and relaxed setting.

The morning begins with simple sketching exercises to help you find a strong composition, using a viewfinder provided on the day. You’ll then transfer your chosen design onto canvas or panel and explore palette setup and colour choices. After lunch, the focus shifts to colour blocking and painterly techniques, with individual feedback throughout.

You’ll finish the day with a completed colour sketch of the parkland to take home, along with fresh insight, renewed confidence, and the enjoyment of painting alongside like-minded artists.
